About Me:
I'm putting together a variety of horse presentations, some for horse ” owners” and riders, and some for people who feel a connection with horse energy…both have the goal of teaching people to go beyond their known limitations, at their own time, according to their individual feel, to not allow other peoples limitations become theirs, and to make their own decisions, beyond style, beyond image…
I'm not looking to add friends here,
www.sols.gaia.com. is for that……
access me thru that profile so you
have an idea of what I'm about…which
has more photos, more words, and also
the blog section is more on inter-relations…
…

(more will be added to the blogs consistantly when I learn to use my new digital camera, my laptop, in conjunction with someone holding the camera…, the blogs here are the seeds for some future articles which will go on my personal web-site, as well as for magazines,…along with down-load-able photos…which will enable me to be part of presentations, clinics, and workshops around the country…if you have any creative advice, I'll listen…

I'm not searching for some truth,
or telling people what “truth” is…
if you substitute the word for “authentic” then you find out its within you all along, so wherever you are, there you go..
.anyone that wants donations, or money for telling you some truth then your authentic self will reveal the illusion…no need to go to India for that…believe in your self…

I spent time with Tom Dorrance in 1987, he was 78, and I was 33…”An Approach To Horse Understanding For The 21st Century”, by Sol Spitz, is dedicated to what was passed thru him to me, and its my responsibility to hand it off to others —
if you need clarification, or can't afford it, ,
its not about money..call anyway…best regards, Sol……

My specialty is I read energy, of animals mostly,
and some other things…
and..my approach to dealing with their patterns of behavior
of dogs, horses, and people…
I'm born of the time I need to be in…I'm not nostalgic for the good old days, I'm glad to be in the 21st century, and I plan to be a presence via the web…and future articles, books, and presentations, in America, Canada, and Europe…I never plan to retire, (retire from what?)
Some of what I'll write about is practical aspects in dealing with behavior…most is about our connection with nature, and to promote individual thoughts and actions…
* * * * * *
I had three main influencial teachers in my life :
(1) when I was about 11, I divorced my parents…I liked them individually for who they were, and they both had to go thru the turmoils of world war II and trying to survive, so they had their personal issues to deal with, and I needed a mother and a father, so I divorced them and learned to be my own mother and father, I knew where I needed to be so I nurtured my own growth…and I had an idea of what I needed to teach myself to meet my calling and my brilliance, (everyone has one in their individuality, meet yours) sometimes what we need to know is awoken by others…
I was in boy scouts and I decided to get all the outdoor merit badges so there was somebody about 5 miles away that I biked to…also at the same time we lived out in the county, and every friday at our school the teevee's would be on and we'd have a science lesson from a really eccentric man…of course I wanted to meet him, but thought it would be too complicated…
so I made an appointment for the merit badge testing…and a woman answered the door, and said the man would be here in a minute…the man turned the corner and it happened to be the man I wanted to meet…
I knew him for three months, and after the merit badge tests, he invited me to visit…it wasn't what he taught me in particular…it was an approach to nature…
In kentucky an approach to nature was get what you can…what i was taught by this wonderful man was an approach to nature that was of mutual respect…he believed in the individual has to find their way…he also had a lot of faith in me and told me to keep my mind on my goals, and not to let people and events on the side-lines distract me, a week later he died…and I remember well the time we spent and what was given to me…
(2) I moved to Tucson in 1977, with the intention of learning how to be as complete a horseman as I could…I never wanted to be a cowboy or to stay with one style…I wanted to know horses…I was an assistant manager at Old Adobe Riding School, where I was in charge of feeding and medicating 70 horses…Norme Sande was their farrier/shoer…it was the first time I ever saw anyone Not tie a horse or restrain or yell at them, and they all were easy with their feet being handled…He was also a cutting horse man, and his horses were happy to know him…I knew him for a few years, he encouraged me to learn from as many people as I could , and make up my own mind…he also encouraged me to go to horse-shoeing school…
(3) In 1987, I was managing a horse ranch in the Sedona area, and had enough saved to go to northern California to horse-shoeing school…it just so happened that about 2 hours south lived Tom Dorrance, who was in his late 70's and is considered to be one of the god-fathers of the modern natural horsemanship movement…when I wasn't in school, I would go to his place in Merced and we would spend the time visiting and discussing…the way he taught me was to pick a question, learn the variations, and make up my own mind depending on the situation..
All the teachers I've had were major believers in individuality, and one of the reasons for this site, and blogs is not to tell people what to do, its to make more options available to them beyond style or image…or catagories…
everybody has to learn how to answer their own questions, because the decisions they make are their responsibilities
I've been with dogs since I was 11, they're great companions and I've had a lot of friendships with all the animals I have known…
So this site was to concentrate on
“An Approach to Horse Understanding For The 21st Century”
“the 21st Century Companion Dog Book”…
****** ****** ****** ****** ****** ******
A few days ago I found that was too limiting…so my blogs will be about horses, dogs, people, cats, and other assorteds…
****** ****** ******
Cats were the first animal I related with, and personally I am more like a cat than a dog or a horse, tho I understand them all pretty well,,,I like the way cats move and have eyes on the bottom of their feet :)
******
So my blogs and my blogs, website, and future programs will deal with ” An Approach To Animal Understanding For The 21st century” which will deal with the realities of nature ( not some fairyland ideal) and a respect that comes from being part of it all…
Nature is about surviving, its not about lost innocence, or good/bad, right/wrong and other emotional politics that people throw out……there is a responsibility we have considering we are concious of our decisions, and what we have to do to own up our part…
Also I want people to realize we have all what we need to know inside of us from birth, certain teachers and events wake us up, if we listen — and when we don't listen, then similar variations will keep coming back as we migrate and evolve thru our lives…till the spirit is heard…listen to yours…
And ultimately, our decisions are ours,… just because we follow a certain style of riding, or being with animals doesn't mean to let others make our decisions for us…
We know in our hearts, belly, and mind what we need to do, without giving ourselves away to people who say you have to go thru them…being with horses is between you and the horse, thru horses I want people to shake off religious and spiritual leaders who say you need them to get to where we need to go…
You don't need them, there is no one between you and your spirituality, don't trust “them”…trust yourself…
,
~~~and give the animals the dignity that is theirs ~~~
